Is more always better? Not always. For example. Take a 50-year-old building (eventually your property will be there if its not). Apply 2 coats every 10 years=10 coats of paint if painted every 10 years (standard re-paint time). THAT IS A WHOLE LOT OF PAINT! Too much paint is always bad for any surfaces and cost more money in the long run to replace or strip buildup layers of paint. What about costs? Labor, Labor, Labor. Time to upgrade your paint! With the overall costs rising in almost every area for any business owner labor is by far the highest cost. If you can save on labor (over 90% of the cost of your project) by using a premium one coat product you save money and get a better product. When is it needed? Painting of dark colors often requires a second coat but how often does that happen. Dark colors are prone to fading within the standard 10-year re-paint time. They also chalk show more dirt. They are in fact popular for trim and all trim almost always requires 2 coats for coverage by brush and roll only. Questionable application techniques in the industry. Wet on Wet? Proper drying time of 4 hours or overnight for darker colors is always required. Application by spray only, less labor intensive. However textured surfaces always require a back roll which is a heavier application by nature. Why do paint companies always specify a two-coat system? Are they guaranteeing their product? Have you asked them for a warranty? I can assure you they are NOT worried about covering a warranty. In fact, most painters and manufactures have written warranties that usually do not cover a whole lot that really ever fails. Most failures come from natural weathering and decaying of the actual components its failing from. Cracked boards, sprinklers and severe abuse most often cause paint to failure. OUR DIFFERENCE: We Paint & Renovate Inc guarantees all labor & materials. We leverage our relationships and if it fails, we get the manufacture to pitch in. We are the ONLY no hassle call back contractor in the Valley! Our evaluation and specification of your project comes from over 34 years of industry proven experience. Old saying that Prep is 90% of the work! It’s true! Prep, Prep, prep. Removing all loose paint, sanding rough edges. Proper caulking and priming of exposed surfaces. Too many times I have walked up to a lapped siding home and all the paint is failing under the lap board. Too much caulking, too much wood filler, countersinking and puttying over nail holes, filling large gaps with the wrong product. These are the reasons paint fails nearly all the time. Industry standards. OUR DIFFERENCE: We have top notch EPA certified Festool sanding equipment and Vacuum that do the job right. Our employees are trained by factory reps and know what to look for. Fillers are bad. If it is something that needs to be replaced, we can handle that job! Caulking the correct areas to prevent moisture and weatherproof is our job! We only use the best caulking available in the industry! Is paint better these days? Today’s paint is BETTER. The ingredients are better, testing is better, and everything is more advanced with the technology and science of making paint. The newer building materials (siding, drywall, and stucco) hold and absorb paint longer and more evenly. OUR DIFFERENCE: Staying up with today’s newest coatings is our job! We are constantly working with our manufactures to provide our customers longer lasting higher quality jobs. The old saying you pay for what you get. Its true. Better paint costs more. Why shouldn’t you use the best? The cost of materials is far less than the cost of labor. Usually about 10% of the total project is only materials. If you use a low-quality paint, you need more paint and have to apply more which always takes more labor and creates higher costs. OUR DIFFERENCE: When it comes to paint or anything to protect your investment, we are here to provide the best options.

When it comes to home improvement projects, attention to detail can make all the difference. While choosing the right colors and furnishings is essential, the importance of premium trim paint often goes unnoticed. Trim paint plays a crucial role in defining the aesthetic appeal of your space and enhancing its overall charm. In this blog post, we'll explore the significance of using premium trim paint and why it's a wise investment for homeowners seeking quality and longevity in their home decor. 1. Superior Quality and Durability Premium trim paints are crafted using high-quality ingredients and advanced formulas that ensure superior durability and longevity. Unlike standard paints, which may fade, chip, or wear down over time, premium trim paint resists everyday wear and tear, including scratches, stains, and moisture damage. This durability not only maintains the beauty of your trim but also reduces the need for frequent touch-ups and repainting, saving you time, effort, and money in the long run. 2. Smooth and Even Finish One of the standout features of premium trim paint is its ability to deliver a smooth and even finish with minimal effort. The formulation of premium paints allows for easy application, resulting in a flawless appearance that enhances the elegance of your trim. Whether you're painting intricate moldings, baseboards, or window frames, premium trim paint provides excellent coverage and hides imperfections, creating a polished and professional look throughout your home. 3. Long-Term Value While the initial cost of premium trim paint may be higher than standard options, it offers long-term value and savings in the form of durability and longevity. Investing in high-quality paint means fewer repaints and replacements, resulting in cost savings and a lasting investment in your home. Premium trim paint also adds value to your property, enhancing its curb appeal and desirability in the real estate market.
